Re: How comments are saved.

Will this issue be addressed in some future release of Textpattern?

Also, has anyone worked out a script to process the comments in bulk? If not I may add that to my list of things I need to do.

I don’t think so. It’d be nice for comments to save two versions, just like for article body and excerpt, that would make switching comment formating a lot simpler.

Is this hack still valid for txp 1.0rc5?

Re: How comments are saved.

Well, 1rc5 isn’t officially supported (it was a release candidate), so I’d encourage you to upgrade (plus there’s a whack of goodies since). I don’t have a copy of 1rc5 on hand. What does your line 1112 look like?

Re: How comments are saved.

line 1112 of /textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php

There were changes to some kinds of plugins, it really depends on which ones you’re using. Before you do any update, it’s a very good idea to backup your database. Setting up a test run wouldn’t hurt, then you’re not monkeying with a live site while you’re trying to get it all sorted.
