Re: Greek localization

Ευχαριστώ για την απάντηση και για τα χρόνια πολλά.
I still have a problem with writing greek articles. I left the standard UTF-8 you suggested and I use Firefox, but no change, still greek characters are not appearing correctly.

Please if you could just explain a bit more what is the problem and how can I fix it.

Ευχαριστώ!

Re: Greek localization

Kiki, it’s usually very helpful if you tried to describe how greek letters appear to you. For example, these are ISO-8859-7 greek letters displayed as ISO-8859-1:

Ôé ðÜåé íá ðåé ôá äÝíôñá äåí Ý÷ïõí øõ÷Þ;

And these are UTF-8 Greek displayed as ISO-8859-7 (Firefox only):

 EικνΡ μάδΡ αάλογο

Re: Greek localization

Thank you for trying to help me!

When I add an article and click save, the text in the Textpattern panel displayes like this ?????? ?? ???????.

In the browser (firefox) appears like this: τεστ για ελληνικ?

Thanks again

Re: Greek localization

I downloaded the version from the official site http://www.textpattern.com/deanload/ (Textpattern 1.0rc3 · 29 Apr 2005). That’s not the latest fully function version? Where can I find the latest?

I havent changed anything in the def template.

Kind regards
Kiki

I just want you to know that I’ve sent Dean a translation for RC4 including all the strings from the en-us.txt file.

Use this file only for review of my translation and install the language updates from the RPC server via the Textpattern administration interface.
