Uggg....W3C validation problems

Im try to get my site to validate with w3c.org but I am having problems applying font styles to a category list.

Here is how I have it setup:

<txp:category_list sort=“title asc” type=“article” wraptag=“h7”/>

While this produces the desired effect in the browser, W3c.org dosen’t like it. While I understand the reason why it dosen’t validate, I can’t figure out another way to apply “h7” to this article list in a way that will validate. Maybe my brain is fried but no matter what I do, I can seem to solve this seemingly simple problem. Please help!

Have you already used h1 through h6?
Or to phrase it differently: what is the desired effect you want to achieve?

Re: Uggg....W3C validation problems

Well, long long ago, I had used h1 through h7 but I currently only use h1 through h4 and h7. Could the absence of h5 & h6 cause me problems? I am just trying to change the font size of the category list font and its color.

Re: Uggg....W3C validation problems

The reason is: There is no h7 headline.
There are only h1 – h6 allowed.

IIRC h7 is in draft.

Re: Uggg....W3C validation problems

Just to be clear, xhtml refrence says that h1 should always be the largest heading and h6 the smallest. In practice, does this matter?

Re: Uggg....W3C validation problems

Nope, if you style it with css it doesn’t matter. It could only a little bit confusing for viewers, if the semantic sizes are not used.
