How do I make textpattern fit in with my website

Ok, I have it all installed and working. How do I now make it fit in with my website. You can view my website design at http://iqdesign.netzed.co.uk. My textparttern is at http://iqdesign.netzed.co.uk/archives. If you would like any more information please let me know.

You’re kidding, right?

  • You should just install textpattern at the root.
  • Also…..why are you on a windows webserver? Are you doing .NET work?
  • Have you looked at the other pages you already have up? Validation errors everywhere.

What I’m confused about is the question: “How do I now make it fit in with my website.” You’ll need to be more specific than that.

Re: How do I make textpattern fit in with my website

I don’t care about the validatation. It bores me. Well that is something I just chucked together yesturday. I should change to linux then. I have linux as well. I will change to linux if that is easier and no I am not doing .net. I want to know how to make the txp scripts fit into my web sites design so when you read the archives you read it on a page on my website with the same theme as the rest of iqdesigN.

Thanks

  1. Bookmark the Textbook
  2. Start with Getting Started with Textpattern
  3. Once you understand a few basics, consult the tag index
  4. Instead of trying to recreate your layout immediately, modify the default pages and forms, to see what you’re doing. Then fit it in.

There is a learning curve to Textpattern, but start small, then progress. Worst case (or easiest), you can hire someone to create all the Textpattern code for you.
