Write "preview" and CSS

Hi All, I couldn’t find this anywhere in a quick search on the forums, so please excuse me if this has come up before.

When writing a new entry and using the “preview” button, is there any way to get it to use the root CSS file? As it stands, I have to actually post an article “live” and check to make sure it is displaying properly. Am I doing something wrong, and/or is there an easy way to get it to use the right CSS?

Re: Write "preview" and CSS

You´re not doing anything wrong, I believe. It is just a feature that TXP does not have. Some tools like TXP and Movable show that “plain” preview and some like Wordpresses latest versions have live preview.

I do remember though seeing some post/tutorial somewhere about how you could achieve that with making separate “preview” section on the live part of site, have to check if I can find the blog containing instructions or if somebody else knows.

Other closest solution could be using TinyMCE based WYSIWYG editor

edit: here´s the tutorial

Aha, that seems like a reasonably good way to do it for now (the tutorial), though I think this is something that should get added to Txp as a default thing — I would imagine plain text previews are effectively useless.

Thanks!
