[request] Is there someone working on a PunBB plugin?

I searched the boards, but couldn’t really find anything. I’m looking to make it the comments for the interviews on my site.

I remember hearing that it’s hard to integrate the database with TXP’s, so I’m also wondering if it’s just easier to to use PHP Includes?

http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=6562, but that project seems to have stalled?

Actually, I believe they’re just waiting for 1.3 of punBB to finish off/launch a bridge.

Yes, awaiting PunBB 1.3 for the bridge plugin/extension.

:-D

I’m just waiting on 1.3 period. Cannot wait for the “a read topic really is counted as being read” feature. But, due to my love for punBB and my newfound affair with TXP, I now cannot wait because of the possiblities associated with this bridge.

Just curious what the purpose of a plugin would be. I have both PunBB and Txp installed and am wondering how they would integrate together…sounds very interesting!

Re: [request] Is there someone working on a PunBB plugin?

Hi Ace,

There’s a forum thread that discusses what each of us think what integration should be.

For me, I want whatever I post to Textpattern to be fed to the forum where visitors can leave comments on the forum for said story.

I’ve been using this method for well over a year on hcgtv, makes it very easy to view all the comments in one place.

That’s why I want it. I’d rather have the comments on a forum.

Re: [request] Is there someone working on a PunBB plugin?

Shaliza, we’re currently testing out PunBB 1.3 and as soon as it’s released a bridge from TxP to Pun will begin. I have a few sites on hold until this bridge is in place so I have a real interest in getting this out.
