New to Textpattern
I just installed Textpattern on my website and it’s looking great. I’m soon going to be launching a new portal and I would like to use Textpattern, I have no idea how to use it, but I wanted to know if Textpattern could do the following which is the most basic for my upcoming website.
I’m going to have a website with two main sections, once named articles and one named interviews. What I want to do is let’s say if I make a category called Articles and another one called Interviews, when I post an article to one of these sections can I code my template so it picks up all the posts for each category depending on the page it’s meant to be displayed?
Also, if I make a little news panel on my website, can I add posts under the News category without the news category posts being displayed on the Articles or Interviews section?

Re: New to Textpattern
Yep, it’s even the default mode of Textpattern. What you need is what TXP calls “sections”. Each article is in only one section, and each section (the list of articles within that section, but the article themselves too) can have its own page template, design, URL, and so on.
No problem.

Re: New to Textpattern
Do I have to use a plugin to achieve this or can it be done with a simple PHP statement on my template? Also, is there any documentation or guide that can teach me how to do what I want to achieve?
Thanks for your help!

No PHP, tags.
