"Database Unavailable" on TextDrive hosted site
I’m hosted on 207.7.108.53
www.victorymanual.com
All of a sudden, I was getting errors related to the database, in that I am not able to connect to it. I thought maybe it was some server maintenance, so I gave it 48 hours. It’s still not working. I am running the most recent Textpattern. What can I do about this? Is it a corrupted Database? I am a beginner when it comes to DB’s. Thanks for any help.
Best regards,
Nismo

Probably a login problem. Check that your database settings in config.php are correct.

If you verify that they are correct, contact your host.

I can connect to the database through phpMyAdmin, and the only error I can find is:
PMA Database … not OK[ Documentation ]
General relation features Disabled
What’s this all about now?

I’d contact the Textdrive staff. I don’t know which server you’re on, but I haven’t had any problems in recent days with the MySQL there.

Do the settings in config.php match those you’re using to connect with phpMyAdmin? Does the database named in config.php exist?

Re: "Database Unavailable" on TextDrive hosted site
I contacted textdrive and they took care of it. I had something pointing at the gilford server instead of localhost, and it screwed everything up. The thing is, I haven’t uploaded any files in months, and the error popped up after a server reboot, so I guess it had something to do with the reboot.
