Link to Next works only in section
Link to next should link to next article by date of publishing, right? I am finding that it will only do this if the next article is in the same section. It will ignore articles in other sections.
I am using txp:article /> and then the link to next after that. No custom article in sight. 4.03

Re: Link to Next works only in section
I’m reasonably (but not entirely) sure that
<txp:link_to_next />
and
<txp:link_to_prev />
are context-sensitive (incidentally,
<txp:article />
is for certain). As such, they will only display articles in the appropriate section or category.
Confirmation by someone more knowledgeable would be nice, though.

Re: Link to Next works only in section
Thanks, I suspect you’re right, Elenita. I now seem to remember using it like that a long time ago, but haven’t had a need for it since. Unless someone can tell me otherwise, I will now have to find a way to link to the actual next article not the next in section.

Re: Link to Next works only in section
That is correct, the next article within that section. You’ll need a plugin.

Re: Link to Next works only in section
Thanks, Mary.
TextBook documentation has been updated to clarify that these two tags are context-sensitive.
