More than one full article on a page...
Hi all, great forum and great software…wondered if I could ask you guys could help me.
I’m trying to display a full article at the top of a page with excerpts / titles from 4 previous titles below it. I know that I can use article_custom to do this but, of course, article_custom displays only the most recent articles and I want to show 4 excerpts from 4 previous articles relative to the displayed article! Does that make sense?! Anyway, so is it possible to display more than one full article on a page and have them be relative to each other, i.e. display a full article and then the article posted chronologically before it below, on the same page?
Just so you get the picture, the idea behind this is to produce a design that rolls back through content without the need for archives which I find annoying!
If this is possible, could it also be adapted to display the 4 excerpts (if they exist) of articles posted above the full article in the middle? This way you could navigate through a sections content in a way that avoids archive list methods.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance…
Woody

I had read that FAQ but perhaps didn’t realise that the if_first_article could help so thanks! Will keep you informed as to my progress…
