Problem with MT import and accents

I’m trying to move diseñorama from MT to txp.

I’ve tried to import my old posts both through a db and a file, and the problem is that txp seems to ignore everything that comes after an accented character or a ñ. For example, if the posts starts with “feliz año nuevo…. bla bla bla”, all that will import is “Feliz a”.

Is there any solution for this? pleaaase?

i’ve solved it by find&replacing all unencoded chars for their coresponding html codes. :)

You can also re-encode the MT file in UTF-8.

juanjo, how do i do this? just re-save the text file? cause unfortunately i’m having problems with the comments.

You can use an editor with encodings support, like PsPad

Just open the file, go to “Format” and select UTF-8. Then re-save the file.
