I saw that. Isn’t the “comment_invite” different from the plain “comment”? I want the list of comments in the article to not be numbered. All other counts to comments anywhere else in the program are fine. I don’t see how those particular things affect the comment count on the article page. Let me know if I’m missing something.

You can do this two ways…
first is with CSS… in your style sheet change the styling of the list the comments uses:
ol.comments { list-style-type: none; }
second option is to not have the comments use a list at all, and instead use divs. This setting is in the main prefs page:
Present comments as a numbered list? NO
