"On the Front Page" no... but showing in a category listing; yes!

How do I make it such that sections I have specified not to show on the front page, show up in a category listing?

You could use my little bit of tag magic to make your category links within articles use the same page that the link is on. If this is from a category archive then the same thing can be done there too though it would mean ditching the plug-in if you are using it.

Yes, but I don’t want seperate category listings for things that are really in the same category. It breaks the idea to seperate them… I don’t want it on the front page but I do want it to show up in url.com/category/category_name/

I’m pretty sure that using /category/ is restricted to the front-page which is why my other code doesn’t use a fully “clean” URL.
