images in body / html problems
When using the upm_img_popper plugin to place img’s inside the body field of an article I often have this problem with end-users:
They don’t want to consistently place them in a specified format: ie: they don’t want to always make sure that the <code><txp:upm_img_popper /></code> tag is either a. in its own paragraph (hard returns around it) or b. specifically NOT in its own paragraph.
My problem: when end users do this incorrectly the images display funny. That’s a no-no. My goal is always to make this as dummy proof as possible.
Any suggestions to a “custom” form I can use? I would prefer NOT to use <code><txp:article_image /></code> because I would like the customer to have some flexibility in where the image resides.
Thanks,
Matthew

Re: images in body / html problems
You could always use a custom form in upm_img_popper that has paragraphs around it or not.
Not really sure what you could do to eliminate line returns that get turned into p tags by textile though.

Patrick,
Yeah, I’ve done that in a custom form, but you run into the trouble of putting p tags inside p tags, and last I checked, that doesn’t validate.
It would be nice if the body field had a method for closing tags, and “attempting” to validate code for you. I’ve seen that done before in some really nice Customized CMS’, but I don’t know what it would take to roll that out.
Hmm.
