write article db problem

I am getting the following error at the bottom of the page only when I click the write tab.

Any ideas?

It does seem like there’s something a little odd going on with your database—maybe time to run REPAIR TABLE? You can do that from phpMyAdmin or the mysql command line.

Thanks, I did what you said. I think I understand what you were looking at. After I ran it I’m still having the same problem. The remaining diagnostic error is now:

<code>21 Tables: jokestxp_note is latin1, jokestxp_tcm_rqueue is latin1, jokestxp_tcm_rsum is latin1</code>

How do I fix the remaining problem now?

The errors you’re seeing now pertain to character set issues, and you’ll find a number of other forum topics on solving character set issues (unfortunately I don’t have much experience with them). Are you still experiencing your original problem—the error on the ‘write’ tab? Looking at that error message, I doubt it could be caused by the character set mismatch. Are you using any plugins which modify Textpattern’s behaviour with regard to categories? (just a guess since the original error was complaining about txp_category)

Yes the error is still happening on the write tab area. It looks like it is do to the Unlimited Category Plug. When I take it off the error goes away. The error is actually taking the place of everything below the excerpt box. Any ideas on this?

Yes, contact the author of “the Unlimited Category Plug” and report the situation to them—it may be a bug or configuration error.
