Please help it's the beginning and i'm stuck already *faint

Hi everyone here,
Please can anyone help me,

i’v set up sets before but i’m having trouble with the setting up the beginnings of the site from Textpattern.

i first downloaded the most recent zip file up and edited the settings as said, but i have been trying for hour to actually view the site.
the message i keep getting is:

i have looked through all the help and the guides to getting the site working but nothing i have done is working.

please can anyone help i would be so appriciated

i took a look at the FAQ sections as soon as the problm occured,
i checked and checked again but nothing is still working ….

thank you though :D
i think i will give up trying … i will have to start from the beginning again..
the path changing the right config file is all there
but it just doesn’t work…

In that case, the problem was a missing .php file, just like the FAQ says.

yes before i deleated everything and started again i added the php files again from the original extracted files but this hadn’t worked..

i changed the name too when i restarted everything.. because it was..

…..textpattern/textpattern/index.. to get to the files.. but i changed the site name and that could have been what was getting confused too….
