building new TXP site - want to hide from public
I am building a new TXP site for a band and want to have a splash page with just the logo on it and “coming soon”. I also want to work on the website and have it function just as if it were live, but viewable to the client only. What do you suggest would be the best way to do this? I want the website to reside at the site root, instead of say www.bandurl.com/txp/index.html and I know if I have it at the site root, it will be visible, unless I have no links to the rest of the content on the website on the default page.
I know of other ways to accomplish this, such as maybe just uploading it to my own server, and setting it up- but I am a bit sketchy on migrating all the info to the band’s server once it is ready to go.
Just wondering what other people have done in a similar situation.. thanks! If there are any posts regarding this, Id like to read them also – looked up migrating database and it was slim.

yep – so index.html has your splash page saying ‘coming soon’ … but if you access index.php, you get the txp version – for this purpose, very easy!
