Problem with sticky articles

Hi everybody,

I guess I have a beginners question concerning “sticky articles”:

My site has different sections, and I have a sticky article for every section that should remain in a left column no matter what is displayed in my main column. This works fine as long as all categories in the section are shown, and it´s fine if only a certain category in the section is chosen. But as soon as I click on the permlink of an article, this article is shown twice: it´s in the main content area and it is replacing the sticky article as well.

I have integrated the sticky articles like this: txp:article form=“sticky” id=“1” limit=“1”. (The form “sticky” is just a txp:body).

Thanks a lot for helping me with this!

Re: Problem with sticky articles

Does it help if you replace <txp:article /> with <txp:article_custom />? Keep the attributes the same.

Re: Problem with sticky articles

Hello Doggiez,

great – this works perfect! (Although I can´t understand it completely since txp:article has the status attribute as well?)

Never mind – thank you very much!

…and it has the id as well. I can’t really explain why it doesn’t work, has something to do with <txp:article /> being context sensitive, so on an individual article page it can behave differently from what you expect sometimes ;) If the one tag doesn’t work, I just try the other.
