...include authors in RSS feeds?

Is it possible to include author information (like in feed://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/HomePage.xml) in newsfeeds of a links section (content > links)?

If there’s no way to do this, can we get it added as a feature request? I don’t really want to hack my rss.php file to get it in there.
