Search beyond articles - Is it possible?

I have very few articles on a current site – mostly recent news for the company and the rest of the site is pretty static.

I am wondering how to get the search to search things other than articles… is it possible… am I wasting my time… or is there something out there I can hack into TXP to get it to do this.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Search beyond articles - Is it possible?

You could write a plugin to do it. Just a tag that fetches gps('q') (i.e. the q= parameter from the URL) and searches whatever it is you want it to search (images or files or something?)

Re: Search beyond articles - Is it possible?

Each section on the site is output thru a form and I want people to be able to search thru the info in the forms. Does that make sense?

Fetching the q= parameter… will that read thru all the text in paragraphs, lists, etc.?
