Comments on different page from article

Is there any way to display comments in a different page from article? Like alistapart, to say.

It would be useful to print only article, or to avoid very long pages.

Thanks.

Re: Comments on different page from article

Thank you Pid for your suggestion. I’ve already thought of css display: none in print stylesheet, even with alternate stylesheet to give user the option to decide whether print the comments or not.

My concern is different: I just wanted to know if there is a way to have a specific page for comment, separate from article, but related (also in the URL and in some biunivocal links). You said I shouldn’t keep comments away from article. Well, I wouldn’t do it on a blog. But sometimes I’d do it on a magazine.

By the way… and now who tells Mr. Zeldman he’s doing wrong? ;-))….

Bye

There are popup comments available in preferences.

Other than that you will have to use a little bit of php or possibly a plugin.

zanza, I can’t test right now … but I think it would be possible … using chs_if_urlvar plugin you could create a ‘view’ that used an article tag with a form that displayed nothing but perhaps the article title and the comments…

Nardo, this seems just what I need… thanks a lot. I’ll go further in the plugin to try it!

Thanks also Sencer for his reply.
