Slow publish

The pages and articles are all loaded very quickly which is good but I found that there is a long delay after clicking ‘Publish’ button everytime. It takes at least half a minute before button changed to ‘Save’.

Not sure what caused this. Diagnosis is all passed.

This is probably caused by delays contacting pingomatic.com. Probably a DNS problem on your server.

You can turn off “Update ping-o-matic” in admin > prefs > advanced.

Actually ‘Update Ping-o-matic’ is turned off already but it turned out to be ‘Ping textpattern.com’, I turned it off and it’s worked.

I get that sporadically. I’ll try turning off the ping stuff for a bit and see if that improves the publishing.
