How can one minimise the margins of a 3 column website at textpattern

Hi,

I’m a novice so I’m currently working whith the “http://photodude.com/txpstyles/simpleneutral” template.

I’ve been working on the style sheet (CSS), but I still can´t minimise the blue margins (#body background) on my site www.semanariocientifico.com.

Does someone know how to do it.

ps: my Idea was doing something like my old static website design www.diariocientifico.com

Thanks

Francisco

It would take a little bit of work on your part in changing the CSS. That is just how the template is set up. It’s made to be a fixed width and centered in the middle of the page. If you change the width and get rid of the “blue margins” it’s more than likely going to mess other aspects of the site up. So you’ll have to know how to fix the stuff you’ll mess up by changing the width. Hope that makes sense. :)

No pasa nada! I really think we learn more trying to solve the problems we put ourselves at. So, Ifr you now how, just give me a sugestion how can one get rid of such huge blue margins. The rest I will try to solve later… ;-)

ps: I want to appologise the administrator for putting this post at the “how to… thread”. My mistake, sorry.

I don’t see any huge blue margins, then again you don’t have a default background colour set either.

;-). There used to be. Now I’ve manage to get rid of them. I’m confident…I’ll make it (at least I think I will…).

I’m trying to make www.semanariocientifico.com, similar to may old newspaper online www.diariocientifico.com. The Header is already done!

(the reason why I came to textpattern was to gwt a easyer way of publishing my news on the newspaperr. I suse to publish the news whith ftp and dreamweaver. Uff!!!)

Thanks again.
