What happened to Markdown?
I just upgraded to 4.0.3 and went to replace my hacks to use Markdown, only to find that the way TXP calls Textile on comments has apparently completely changed. Anyone got ideas for how to remedy this so I can switch back to Markdown?

I documented that a while ago.
The syntax I use now (403) is slightly different, but you get the idea. I’m not on a machine with my code accessible. Shoot a mail if you want it.

Thanks, Philippe. I’ll give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Ubernostrum, any luck?
I was using Markdown without a problem for several months (all the v4.0x releases, and probably further back), but I just updated to r1228 via SVN and my Textpattern backend wouldn’t load properly. I got an error that I didn’t stupidly think to make a note of, but I think it mentioned something about line 1202. I had to switch back to Textile.

edit /lib/txplib_misc — function markup_comment($msg)
replace with the code in this text file.
$LastChangedRevision: 1170 $, TXP 403 @ rev 1212.
Possibly no the cleanest way to solve the problem, but I haven’t had lots of time recently to dive more into TXP code.
