I have the same problem (on 4.03). Did you get this resolved?

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
It’s working fine for me in 4.0.3 and IE. Could it be something in the security settings in IE?

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
Hmmm, I have tried both at work and at home in IE6 on WinXP, no joy. I can open pdf files from other websites, no problem.Which version of Acrobat are you using? I have tried 6 and 7.
Can you try opening a pdf from the list on this page please
Can you post a link to your download list so I can try it?

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
IE has a history of brain-dead failures opening PDF files. There’s not nearly enough information here to know what’s going on (see the FAQ, which is linked multiple times from this form).
What is the exact error message? Is it the Textpattern error page, your web server’s standard error page, a dialog box, or something else? What shows up in the Textpattern log, and the Apache access log? What version of IE and Acrobat? Is Acrobat configured to show PDF files inside a browser window or not? etc.

Thanks for posting your link. I can open your pdfs, so I don’t know what’s going on with mine. How odd :/

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
It’s an Adobe error message: “There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.”
I’ve tried on Acrobat version 7.05 and 6.0. both with Internet Explorer V6.0 (which has had various updates).
The download count increases in the “Files” tab, and the file shows up in the Txp logs. I don’t know how to check my Apache access log?
I think that Adobe is configured correctly as I am able to view files from other sites.

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
I have the same problem that, one year later, has not yet been resolved. Perhaps the problem is in the software who generated the .pdf. I use Macintosh to generate the pdf, and I don’t have any problem to open directly the file, but users of IExplorer in Windows obtain an error message if they ask for viewing it instead od donwloading it.
Any help?

Re: Can't open pdf's in Internet Explorer
Do you have a link? If it’s your site that is in your profile, I can open the pdf in IE7.
