Paginating File Download Lists - Possible?

My ideal way of setting up downloads at my site would be to utilize file_download_list rather than making an article for each download, because an article isn’t really needed and I’d like to avoid that extra step. However, my site offers quite a bit of downloads…and it won’t really do to have them display all at once. But I find that when I limit the number of downloads displayed…there’s no paginating option that seems to work.

So my question: Is paginating possible for file download lists? I’ve been searching all over the place for how to do this…but I’m beginning to think that I’m chasing something that doesn’t exist. Are we just not able to split file downloads into pages like we do for articles?

I hate to double post and bug you all about this again, but can anyone at least tell me if this is possible? If it isn’t, then at least I’ll know not to bother wasting my time any longer. I’ve been trying to do searches on this topic for the last week…but alas, I wasn’t able to find anything.

Thanks very much for replying- I just wanted to know if it’s possible at all because I wasn’t sure if I was wasting my time. I couldn’t find any information on it that stated whether we could or not. I guess now I know to give it up!
