4.0.3 install problem
Greetings all. I have not run into a problem like this with any other version of Textpattern and ran into it trying to install it on a new server:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: parse() in /home/.lafayette/jkoempel/contingencypreparedness.com/textpattern/lib/txplib_misc.php on line 1309
any ideas?

Re: 4.0.3 install problem
FAQ. Alternatively, your txpath setting might be incorrect.

Re: 4.0.3 install problem
Isn’t the txpath defined in the admin interface?
The textpattern directory is at “domainname.com/textpattern/” and I didn’t touch the config.php file.
hmmm

No, it’s in config.php. Looks like it should be /home/.lafayette/jkoempel/contingencypreparedness.com/textpattern
in your case.
If that doesn’t help, and you checked the things in that FAQ, when exactly are you seeing that error? Trying to access your admin page, or public site?

Re: 4.0.3 install problem
Actually: I can reproduce this problem with correct config.php settings, if I remove the ‘textpattern’ table. Sounds like an install problem: perhaps you installed to one database but used a different one in config.php; or a major error occurred during installation.

Re: 4.0.3 install problem
Hmmm. Thank you for the attention. I will look at the database.

Re: 4.0.3 install problem
Zem, you were right, it was not the config.php file rather, there was a problem with the database. Thank you for your help.
