Alternating Comment Div Class

Can someone recommend a txp stock feature or a plugin that will allow me to apply class “odd” and “even” to my comment display divs? I have tried ajw_comment_alt, but it is generating upredictable results in Textpattern 4.0.3. For example, the first comment div was given the class “even” and the next comment that followed didn’t even have a class applied to it.

Any other suggestions before I manually hack it?
