Add a input field type FILE into my zem_contact form?

Hi to all!

I’ m using the zem_contact_pluging for a contact form in my site, and it works fine. But I need to add a field in which the user can to attach a document by browsing in his PC, and then receive the e-mail with the attachment…, is this possible?

I have been seeing and searching in all the forum. I’ve read all about zem_contact_plugin (there are many threads) in the forum and I don’t find what I need.

I ‘m not a coder so I don’t know how to hack the plugin for my propose. So, if someone knows how to do it with ease, please tell me. And if it’s complex, please tell me too :)

Thanks a lot!

Re: Add a input field type FILE into my zem_contact form?

To attach a file to an email that is sent via PHP is not trivial. PHP doesn’t have built-in support, which means either plenty of manual coding and RFC-checking for MIME etc., or you using one of the available (usually huge) mail-classes to do it and adapt the plugin to include and use such a class. Attaching a file that needs to be uploaded first, adds yet more work.

Is it possible? Absolutely – just about every web-based mail-client does it.
Is is plenty of work? Yes, probably.
