Re-installtion of Textpattern results in Apache crashing
I’ve spent some time developing a local textpattern site – excellent stuff!
Unfortunately, I, foolishly, used XAMPP which had a version 5 MySQL. – My web host uses MySQL 4.1.12.
Using MySQLdump I backed up my database – ready to use in a new installation.
I have reinstalled my setup with WAMP – using PHP 5.0.3, MySQL 4.1.8, Apache 1.3.33. This all seems to be working OK.
However when installing Textpattern – when I get to the point where Apache is called (after putting in user details for Textpattern) – Apache promptly fails and shuts down.
I am totally stuck – any ideas, please?
Cheers!
Mike

Re: Re-installtion of Textpattern results in Apache crashing
Managed to recover by installing an earlier version of xampp – only really had to import my backed up database and re-upload images.
My only problem now is that my images don’t appear to be able to upload [I have around 60 images so far] – I am getting the following error – ‘there was a problem saving image data’ and the image I browse to and upload doesn’t appear.
Any ideas, please?
In addition – I am about to put this site live – is there anything I should do to make this go smoothly [ I am now using the same version of PHP & MySQL as my host ].
Many thanks.
