.swf file does not appear in files

I uploaded 2 .swf files via the Files tab in admin and I get the ok signal. However, the files do not appear in the /files directory when I look.

I checked because I was testing the flash embed plugin by Kimili. The .swf file was not found by the browser, so I checked via SFTP and no .swf’s appeared in /files.

After uploading the .swf’s directly to the /files directory with SFTP, the flash movies appear and work fine.

Re: .swf file does not appear in files

What is your file-upload path in advanced preferences set to?

You probably have to change it to files, and change permissions for that directory accordingly.

Re: .swf file does not appear in files

My bad. You were correct. I changed the file upload path. I thought TXP set it to /files automatically?

And I get this message in the upper left corner
“.jpg, .gif, .png or .swf graphic files allowed”</blockquote>

Same happens to me

Re: .swf file does not appear in files

Assuming other image types work, it looks like your version of PHP doesn’t support the type of SWF file you’re trying to upload.

Nothing we can do about that. Some info in the comments here.
