Re: upm_img_popper
Mary,
Awesome. Thanks for the updated release…that rules.
Is there a way using “thumbnail” instead of “popup” to show the title and still link to the full image?
I need the title in order to show the proper credits for the photos, but only on the thumbnail.
Thanks again for quick response.

Re: upm_img_popper
Whoopsie, getting my plugin templates swapped… Thanks for catching that Robert. I updated the plugin again, without changing the version number (since it was just a re-compile).
Tom, with either, the caption doesn’t show up except on hovering over the image, so the end result is the same. If you’re wanting to do photo credit text, then you’ll want to use “custom”. See the plugin help for more info. If that’s not what you mean, can you restate please? :)

Re: upm_img_popper
Hi Mary,
Yeah…I need the caption to show when the thumbnail is hovered while “type” is set to “popup”. I don’t really have anywhere to output the caption text on the page as is. Probably not the best method, but it’s the only solution that will work in this particular instance.
Thanks,
Tom
P.S. break_class worked perfectly. : )

Re: upm_img_popper
I’m getting a validation error using your excellent plugin with article_image type=“popup”. It generate an ‘1’ before the onclick event (on every image):
… /images/19.jpg”<strong>1</strong> onclick=“return upm_pop_img(this.href…
I’m not able to find out where that ‘1’ comes from. Is it a typo? Is missing a space before? Everything works, but if you have time to check, it would be great. <ins>New: It seems that the ‘1’ is added ONLY when there is more than one article images…</ins>
There’s another problem I have. If I use break=“dt” and wraptag=“dl” with your article image tag, the dt isn’t inserted when there is only one article image. Every thing fine with 2 or more images in the list. I’m not sure if it’s a bug, or my setting that can cause the problem. For now I just want to alert you.
Thanks!

Hi Mary,
Just wanted to let you know I’m getting the same stray “1” as Zanza. I tried to trace it, but no luck.

Re: upm_img_popper
Mary is no longer supporting her plugins . I posted a compiled version of the last version of the plugin over on this thread

Re: upm_img_popper
Are people still seeing the stray 1 with the latest compiled version I’m not being able to replicate it. If you are still seeing it please post the tag exactly how you are using it and what is in your article image field, so I can try to track it down.

Re: upm_img_popper
hakjoon, Sorry to take you off topic but since upm_file_packets is related to this plugin I thought I would ask. When I compiled the latest version of mary’s source for file_packets I still get the division by zero error that was supposed to be fixed. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

I’ll take a look at it, but I’ve never used upm_file_packets so no promises.

Re: upm_img_popper
There are links in the popup that will do different things. The links under “article image” will put that image in the article image field for the article. You will have to use one of the Article_image tags to retrive those images. The links under insert will insert tags for the image.
- image – will insert it using a upm_image tag.
- custom – will use a upm_image tag pointing to a form.
- XHTML – will simply insert the xhtml img tag.
More information about the upm_image tags are in the plugin help.

But how can i make the thumbnail popup if someone clicks on it. Can the plugin do that or do i have to write my own html or javascript to do that.

Re: upm_img_popper
Sorry I left some stuff out.
If the image has a thumbnail associated with it (you will see the thumbnail in the plugin popup) you will have two extra options.
- Thumb – inserts the thumbnail
- popup – inserts the thumbnail with a popup of the larger version.
So to do what you want just choose the popup option and you should be all set to go. It will insert a upm_image tag that looks kind of like this <txp:upm_image type="popup" image_id="12" class="image" />
