Trouble combining PHP with textpattern

Hello,

I have two visual layouts of my site. The alternate visual layout is triggered when the url includes the get value: popup=true.

When I’m writing links in my articles, I want to have ‘popup=true’ at the end of the links if the current page uses ‘popup=true’.

So I’ve tried doing something like this:

But that doesn’t seem to work, so I tried something like this:

But that just prints out the link, it doesn’t actually generate a link.

Any ideas?
