4.0.3 inline class and id problem

It seems that 4.0.3 introduced a new problem with inline classes and ids. I just resaved and article and suddenly my formatting no longer works.

example:

<notextile>
*(hl)teststring*
</notextile> used to be converted into teststring
now, in 4.0.3 it becomes:

(hl)teststring
I suppose this is a bug?
