Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Hey Patrick, I just installed this on a fresh install with the latest svn and I am only getting the insert image, find, find/replace and the format dropdown. Just to give you a heads up. Not sure what’s going on and I don’t have too much time to look into it too deeply right now.
I’ll post back If I have time to poke around in it’s guts a little to see what has changed.
Thanks!

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
That’s pretty weird, since the stuff that sets that is really not TXP related. I wonder if some of the javascript handling stuff they are introducing for 4.0.3 is messing it up. Well it needs to be cleaned up anyway because it defintely can conflict with other plugins right now.
Unfortunately I’m going to be gone for a week starting tomorrow so hopefully this won’t hit until after I get back and have time to look at it.
Thanks for the heads up.

I just installed this on another site and it is defaulting to editor off… I have to click toggle to get tinymce to show up. any idea why that would happen?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
The editor defaults to off if the global “Use textile” settings are set to anything other then “Leave text untouched”. Just change that and the editor should come on by default. Also make sure the other site is running 4.0.2. The write tab is different enough in 4.0.1 that it won’t work right.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
hakjoon, are the tinyMCE files included in your zip file straight from moxiecode or have you tweaked anything?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
There is one folder that is not is not in the moxiecode distrbution, that’s the iBrowser folder for the image browser plugin that micampe originally included. Otherwise ,if I’m remembering properly, everything is straight from moxiecode.
I’m thinking of maybe just distributing the pluging and the ibrowser folder with my stuff that way I don’t have to kepe updating it whenever moxiecode releases a point release.
It should be no issue to use the 2.0.1 release that’s on their site now. My zip still has 2.0. You’ll just need to pull the files in plugins/ibrowser to get the image selector widget.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
With “Use Textile” set in the preferences, would there be a way for it to check if an article was created with textile and if so to not even show the toggle editor link?
As you probably know if you toggle the editor on in a textile composed article it loses all formating and paragraph breaks.
Great plugin by the way. Much better than the simple tweaks I did to micampe’s version.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
I’ll have to see if there is something I can check to see if I’m editing an article or creating a new one. I don’t know off hand if there is something in there (although I would think so).
I’ll look into it.
And thanks. It was a fun one to do. I’m hoping my work schedule clears up so I can work on a better image widget and FCKEditor. I might try to incorporate upm_img_popper since I’m taking over that with Mary’s recent departure.

An integrated image upload and insert ability would make this plugin perfect.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
ok I can definitely differentiate between a new article and an edited one. If they are editing one and it has textile turned on do you want the editor togglelink to not be available even if they change the use textile preferences to “Leave text untouched”?
I wonder if I could run the text through textile when you toggle the editor. That way the editor would always get html. Although that would drop html back in the textarea if you turn the editor off since there is no way to go html -> textile that I know of.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
All that I would really like is that if the article has already been written using textile tags then the toggle editor link not be there. Maybe this can be a user setable option in the extension preferences, I don’t know.

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Thanks Hakjoon,
This plugin works much better for me than the previous incarnation before you had your hands on it.
Is it possible to reconfigure this to be used in the excerpt field as well?

Re: hak_tinymce WYSIWYG article editor
Yes that could be done. In 4.0.2 there wasn’t an option for “Leave text Untouched” which is the only time I allow the editor to be on. I see that’s been added in 4.0.3 so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Would you want one toggle editor link to turn both of them on, or individual toggles? Give me some thoughts on how you all think this would work best.
