Not built-in, but there is a plugin.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Bingo!

<code>
<script type=“text/javascript”><!—
if(!mmcomments){var mmcomments=[];}mmcomments[mmcomments.length]=”<txp:comment_id />”;
//—></script>
<!— mmc mmid:<txp:comment_id /> mmdate: <txp:upm_comment_time format=”%Y%m%d%H%M%S” /> mmauthor: <txp:comment_name /> —>
</code>

That did the trick :)

Thanks Mary!

edit – oops, I forgot. Must escape the html in author name…

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Mary and Aloicious Thank you so much. Awesome it works perfectly fine.

I wonder why the same date format isn’t used in comments?

It’s kind of weird I guess that people using MM will have to go through adding a plugin, just to get it to work. But anyway I’m quite happy it does now. hehe

Thank again guys. Hopefully in the next version of both MM and TXP, they will work together without having to add the plugin.

Peace and God Bless!

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

The default comment time matches the default archive mode time. The comment time tag doesn’t allow overriding, simply because its an oversight and no one has bothered to patch it. I think I forgot to do so when I made the plugin to serve in the interim. I’ll send one in now.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Ok thanks Mary. Much appreciated. I have also let the people over at Measure Map, know how we got it working.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

I’ve got my Measure Map Visitors, Links and Posts working, but alas my comments still refuse to play ball. I’m sorry if this is a daft question, but in what template/form are you placing the comments code quoted in #17 above.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Hello ebcomley, I placed mine in the comments form right after the <txp:message />.

Let me know if that works for you also.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

@ebcomley – step #1 is now no longer needed for users of Textpattern v4.0.3 since it looks as though Mary’s patch version of upm_comment_time made it into the core.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Also, step 4 still shows upm_comment_time instead of comment_time.

Btw, have you been able to get comment recording to work? I was unable to get comments to work by using the <txp:comment_name /> tag because it outputs the name in an anchor tag if web url is provided. I had to use this instead: <txp:php>global $thiscomment; echo $thiscomment['name'];</txp:php> Can you confirm?

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

Andrew: aloicious had posted the code to input to get the comments working. I believe you can just use the same and the only change you would have to make is to change upm_comment_time to comment_time since there is no need for mary’s plugin anymore with 4.0.3.

I think I will have to make the necessary changes one day on my site with comment_time instead and give instructions again if you are still having problem.

Let me know.

Re: Getting Measure Map setup correctly with TXP

The comment_time part isn’t what’s causing me problems – that works fine : ) It’s the <txp:comment_name /> tag that spits out html that’s causing problems.
