Re: Ta
Mary,
I’m sure many of us know how you feel, whether this community or somewhere else. Sometimes you give more than people probably deserve; and when you’re coordinating things, have to listen to more shit than you need to, or find yourself saying the same things over and over. When that happens, sometimes just stepping back and being less active gives you the breathing room you need. Then again, there is something quite liberating about moving on.
I get the sense you’re not the only one; things are changing, as they eventually do anywhere, people pull back or disappear entirely. If you think about it, there’s other people, community veterans, who are now quite rare, or perhaps now gone altogether. Nothing wrong about it, just the way it goes. It happens for us all, sooner or later.
In any case, I’m one who would like to see you stick around, but I wish you well in other pursuits. Best to you.

Re: Ta
This is pretty sad. What happened? I don’t see any indication of anything in your last few posts. You and a few others here make the forum worthwhile!

Re: Ta
Hey Mary,
I’m sorry to hear this too. I appreciated your “no nonsense” approach as well as your staunch dependability. It takes all the types to make the project work. Take a much deserved break but please don’t leave. All of you are becoming like family to me.

Re: Ta
mary, I’m sure you have your reasons although, to me, your leaving comes quite abrubtly — I didn’t notice any hints.
This place will be a lot less lively without you. Thank you very much for you work here, for the plugins, the ideas and the good spirit that you shared here. I’d be glad to see you back — perhaps the anger weakens after a while.
I hope to see you again here.

Re: Ta
I think you should keep whatever gift was purchased for you as a thank you for all your past hard work. No need to send it back.

Re: Ta
I must admit this is a bit of a shock to me as well … your brilliance is invaluable here and I hope that you’ll continue to be a part of our community.

Re: Ta
Mary, you are the fun of this community.
I hope you can stay here… or, if you definitly need to leave, I hope you come back soon.
This is the only community I feel I belong to, and that is because there are nice folks like you.

Re: Ta

Arkham : nobody in its right mind would, but yeah Mary’s post is a clue that there is… Even if you can make some plausible scenarios, it’s pointless to play Cluedo here…
As Destry said, <em>I get the sense you’re not the only one; things are changing, as they eventually do anywhere, people pull back or disappear entirely. Well, while I agree it’s part of the life of communities, usually it’s a “natural” process and yeah there’s nothing wrong with that. What would be wrong though is pushing someone as dedicated, cheerful and skilled as Mary to the exit… As I said not only would it be wrong, it would be plain st%p*d.
But again, all this is hypothetical, we don’t know squat about what went down right now…

Re: Ta
sad, sad news.
It is a sad day when someone like Mary feels pushed out. It definitely will not be the same around here.
