Yes, increase the line-height and make those titles bigger and more readable. Other than that, it’s looking fine.

Actually, have you ever considered creating an About page? People want to know a bit more about you than what you entries reveal.

Re: ikebowen.com

By increasing line-height, do you mean just increasing the line-height value or making the text larger along with the lines?

And yeah, the about page… I’ll add that in. There was some type of introduction-to-me on the front page, actually, but I took that out and replaced it with the blog itself, kinda going along with a suggestion made earlier.

Re: ikebowen.com

Your nav menu doesn’t scale well (well, doesn’t scale at all) when the font-size is up.

All fixed. Tweaked the theme a bit as well. ;) Does this work?

Re: ikebowen.com

Simple and nice.

About your question on how to make menu images scale with text, look at the old sliding doors trick at List Apart.

Re: ikebowen.com

I like it purely based on its value as an experiment. It inspires me to try out other things. Its right justification is striking, and the menus are styled just enough to clue the keen observer in that they’re not some kind of default. If you don’t have the eye for subtlety, this one’s not for you, kids.

I should get started.

@Jeremie
The sliding doors thing. Yeah, I’ve actually been using that for quite a while. I used that technique (well, not that technique, but a similar idea) to make the larger box expand vertically, so…

Right, on to the new and exciting. If you’ve got a second, check back at ikebowen.com and let me know what you think of the changes. Extremely minimalistic, yes….

Re: ikebowen.com

I’m all for minimal, I keep my own designs on the lean side – but I’d suggest adding a little colour or graphics to soften it up a bit, and keep your readers attention.
