Forum dusting...
Just doing some light forum dusting, moving some old topics to the Dead Letter Office.
What constitutes as “old” to me? Anything before (but not including) August of this year.
There shouldn’t be any problems, but in the off-chance a thread gets moved that you feel shouldn’t have been, just send me a quick note.

Re: Forum dusting...
That reminds me: please help keep the forum tidy by using the “Report” link, as opposed to posting a reply to a thread to do the same thing. Otherwise, no one who can do something about it, may not see it.
All that “Report” means is that you want to bring the post/thread to a moderator/admin’s attention, it isn’t reserved for any special purposes here (it may at other forums). It allows you to leave a note about why you’re reporting it (it’s spam, it’s in the wrong forum, etc). Do that, and all mods/admins will instantly see the note (as soon as they login), and can deal with the post/thread accordingly.
Thanks folks.

Re: Forum dusting...
Some more forum dusting, and the announcements forum is now closed against replies from members, so that discussion can be carried out in the appropriate forum(s). You know, troubleshooting in Troubleshooting, bug reports in Bug Reports…

Re: Forum dusting...
August ? Ouch, that’s some dusting. This is forums wide, or “Textpatter” only ?

Re: Forum dusting...
The announcments forum is closed against replies (at least for the moment).
The archiving is for threads that have had no replies since August (five months), with a few exceptions:
- stickies
- still relevant admin/mod threads
- forums with very few pages of threads
- plugin support threads created by the plugin author.
The large majority of threads are about now non-existant issues, or old unsupported methods. If a thread was resurrected because of renewed interest (you can still get at the old urls and find via search), say a feature or plugin request for example, then I’ll pop it back into the appropriate forum.
I think that covers everything fairly? but let me know.
