Migrate from TXP to WP

I’m sure this has been covered somewhere in the forums, but I can’t find it.

How can I export my posts from TXP such that I can import them into a new WordPress installation? Is there a guide somewhere?

Hi realish,

these kinds of questions are usually asked and answered at the place where you are going to import your data into. I am sure the people over at the wordpress forum would like to help you with your request, and are probably more qualified about what word press can import, and how other people have migrated to WP. People that migrate away from Txp tend to not hand around these forum all that much… ;)

Honestly, I think the WP folks would be better people to ask. If there are people who’ve converted to Wordpress, they’d probably be over at the WP boards.

That said, if your host has phpMyAdmin, you can use that to export your database tables in a variety of formats. Entries are in the textpattern table.
