Strange Behaviour in MySQL
A few minutes ago I was alerted to the fact that readers have not been able to post comments in any of my articles, clicking the permalink brought them to the page, but without its CSS, and adding a comment there led to something about failing a precondition.
I have not done anything to alter my textpattern installation up to this point.
I checked mysql, results read like “16 in use, 4 have not closed”, or something like that. I repaired it and everything was working again.
Less than two minutes later it happened again. As of now it is happening. See http://popagandhi.com/173/2005-in-pictures#comment for an example.
Anybody knows why?
Checking the table now gives me OK for all rows, but with the following warning:
Problems with indexes of table `txp_form`
Warning PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `name`
Problems with indexes of table `txp_lang`
Warning UNIQUE and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `lang`
Problems with indexes of table `txp_page`
Warning PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `name`
Problems with indexes of table `txp_plugin`
Warning UNIQUE and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `name`
Problems with indexes of table `txp_section`
Warning PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `name`

Re: Strange Behaviour in MySQL
I forgot to mention that I’m running 4.0.2 (r944).
It happened just a few times and recurred. Seems to work now, but I’m wondering what the problem is. MySQL, or..?

Re: Strange Behaviour in MySQL
No solution, just more data:
The stylesheet isn’t loaded on that page if I have referer logging turned on in Opera (normal for most browsers). But if I don’t send a referer header, everything works fine, including posting comments. Turning off javascript has no effect.
It isn’t mysql. I don’t think it is Txp. Seems like a server misconfiguration.

Thanks for taking a look at it! I have issued a support ticket for TextDrive.

Re: Strange Behaviour in MySQL
I just noticed this question in the FAQ, which basically says to do what you’ve already done — complain to your hosting provider.
