an extremely perplexing CSS issue (horizonal menu's and dropdowns)
I’ve attempted to create a horixonal menu with CSS… that worked great…
I also wanted to cause one of the menu items to drop down with options… that did not go so well…
in firefox: it renders the most correctly… if that’s any consolation, I’m glad firefox market share is increasing…
in safari: it only seems to show the drop down menu when there’s an overlapping tine of text… ie, only rendering when there’s text inside a <p> tag, and not inbetween them…
in IE: it all goes to poop. I not even going to attempt to tweek the source to get it to work in IE until I can get it work render properly in safari and firefox…
my site url is www.alexanderng.org
the location of the CSS I’m using is www.alexanderng.org/files/orangestyle.css
The source I’m using can be viewed @ www.alexanderng.org/files/orangesource.html (you’ll have to view source as most of it doesn’t render without text pattern…)
if any light can be shed on this I would be very very happy… even if no one has an absolute answer, suggestions on where to look for more info would be helpful.
-thanks!
