show articles in frontpage from recent category

I have many categories corresponding to monthly issues. I would like for the front page to show only the articles for the recent Issue. I can do it manually by using

<code><txp:article_custom category=“Issue-16” limit=“99”/> </code>

but i want to know whether it is possible to do it automatically, without me changing the category name every month. Something like the recent_category with an sortdir asc desc option.
