Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

Will they simply get the money? Will it be divided up equally among all of them? What are the ideas? I’d like to have a clearer idea of what’s going to happen before I donate.

[Update] My question has been answered in the updated post above.

Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

hi all

alexandra, it’s an honour for me to read my name near the developers names.
The truth is that I dont even know what PHP stands for.
Just a 23 years old guy who’s trying to learn XHTML and CSS, and who loves TXP, but who is still very far to manage all the power that TXP brings to my hands.
I consider myself an advanced beginner in the art of using TXP.

I want to add the following names to the people that brings too much help and joy to the wonderful TXP community:

  • thebombsite
  • hakjoon
  • nardo

They are always helping newcomers.
Of course, also I want to thanks all the developers, and mary (she deserves to be called a “developer” too), and all the plug-in authors.

Thanks for the idea of giving a gift. If some money is collected, i would like to donate my part to the developer team.
Also, I’m in Argentina, no PayPal here, and I dont have any bank account nor credit card nor something similar, so I think it will be difficult for me to get any donation.

We’re all getting free TextDrive accounts. That’s it isn’t it Mary?

… a TXD account has been my dream since long time ago…

Thanks to all <small>and excuse my english</small>

Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

Hi maniqui, even if you are not a php developer you are surely the king of tag combinations :) and that has to be honored. I know many more people including myself (in german though) help others a lot. But this year i think the core developer team, mary, Destry and you did an awful great job!
No worries, somehow we manage to get you a present – may be not to till 24th though :).

Time for some presents now, so come on people, donate some money

Hurray… THE FIRST 5 US$ JUST CAME IN!!!….

[of course i give updates and if required someone reliable can check my paypal account too.]

Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

Hell I don’t want paying. I enjoy it and learn from it too, and I also expect free advice whenever I need to ask for it, but there is one name missing from the list. Dare I mention Dean himself?

Jesus, yes. Until you pointed to it I never realised he wasn’t on the list! He should be.

Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

If it’s cheese there’s no need to raise money, I can buy it straight from the farmers here and send him directly. :D Still, he’s living in France, so I don’t see Dean as a guy in desperate need of cheese. :)

Re: A Christmas Present For Our Programmers

As I recall, Dean loves a cheese called Stinking Bishop , or something similar.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. French cheeses aren’t to everyones taste. For instance, I might be wrong but I have never come across a French equivalent of a good strong aged cheddar.
