ShareAfrica.org
I just deployed my first TXP site Share Africa The site is for a non-profit organization that helps AIDS orphans in African countries.
I had a great time learning TXP while designing this site. My hats off to the entire TXP team and this forum for your phenomenal work.
Being a TXP newbie, I would appreciate any comments you can give on the site. Comments on layout, CSS, accessibility are also more than welcome. I am working on one layout issue with Opera 8.5. If anyone has access to AOL or older IE versions to see if the site degrades well, I will owe you one for any feedback.
Cheers,
-Raj

Re: ShareAfrica.org
Hi Raj, looking through Opera 8/WIN Xp site renders well.
Other than that, great cause and smart site. I miss some more content but you certainly will fill it by the time.
(just a thought: you could add a contactform on the about/contact page)

Re: ShareAfrica.org
Looks good! I am not sure if it is deliberate because it doesn’t look bad, but have you specified a bg color on the body and right and left sidebars. My default is grey and that’s what I see.
I also think the space between ‘SHARE’ and ‘Society for Hospital and Resources Exchange’ is too tight. I would also put a hover state on the main top menu. But those are small things and a matter of taste. In general I think it looks good! Good luck!

Re: ShareAfrica.org
Alexandra and Zero,
Thank you for taking time to check out the site and for providing valuable input.
Alexandra, Yes.. more content is coming soon… I am planning to put up a bunch of new articles, a photo gallery, and most importantly an online donation feature with Paypal.
Zero, I had completely missed checking the site through my browser set to a default gray background! Also, your comments on the top menu hover, and more spacing between my h1 and h2 elements make a lot of sense. I have implemented all of this now.
Thanks again for the feedback.
