Two Questions re: TXP troubles
Hi all,
I have a couple questions regarding my TXP package. It was working great, and now all of a sudden I can’t post comments unless it’s via the popup form. A few days ago the comments part worked, and I honestly don’t know what I have changed since then….but now when someone clicks on the link to leave a comment, it just goes to a page with the same template/style as the home page, but there are no comment forms whatsoever, just some hyperlinks to a couple pages. However, when I changed the comments mode to popups, they get a form! I would prefer not to use the popup, but really can’t figure out what this could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Second question is this….if I must stay with the popup comment form, I’d really like to make it a lot bigger. It’s this tiny little box, and i’d really like to make it larger. Can you tell me where I am supposed to go to modify this form? I played around with my stylesheets, forms, etc….and I really can’t figure out which needs to be changed?
Lastly, this one is probably really basic….but why wouldn’t my links work on my page. All of the URL’s are “not found”….I’m sure this one is completely obvious, but what’s up? Do I need to build pages and point those links to them? Will the forms and style automatically populate them?
I’m not sure if this is enough info to work from , but if more is needed I would be able to provide it….sorry if the questions are a little basic….and hopefully I’m in the right forum.
Thanks in advance!
Ken

FAQ: 404 error when linking to article pages
Check your admin prefs. Check that “Comments mode” is set to “nopopup”, and that “Automatically append comments to articles?” is set to “yes”.

Re: Two Questions re: TXP troubles
Thanks for the suggestion….I actually have it on popup now ony because no popups won’t work. For whatever reason, when I set it to “nopopups”, and someone tries to comment, it just takes them to my link page? I have no idea why….but if someone could tell me what forms, pages, etc would contain the linking instructions, I could probably just go in there and play with the code to get it to the right place.
Thanks!

Re: Two Questions re: TXP troubles
You’d need to give a sample of the output as well as the forms you’re using, in order for anyone to give an intelligent suggestion, otherwise it’s just wild guessing. What you’re describing is just, well, weird.
