Password protected articles?
I recently installed TXP for a customer and it works like a charm.
But I feel there is a feature lacking in TXP, namely password protected articles.
The site I’m developing is for a museum and they want to be able to have a password protected presskit site.
What I need is the following:
1. Password protected login in order to view content.
2. Self registration is prohibited.
2. The user isn’t allowed to enter TXP admin-panel.
Any ideas?

Re: Password protected articles?
You can also take a look at the ign_password_protect plugin. It allows you to maintain a seperate table of people you can access password protected content. The built-in txp tag makes you hardcode a the login and password. With the ign plugin you can begin to create a restricted access community.
Note: I’m not aware of how secure the plugin is, so please review the developer’s documentation and talk with him before using it to protect highly confidential information.

Re: Password protected articles?
Thank you.
That plugin was just about what I was looking for.
The remaining problem is file permissions.
Any ideas how to set specific permissions for files in order to prevent anonymous users to DL a file?

I can tell you there’s no built-in way.
