Re: techinflux

aarplane – cool site! Did you use the moofx plugin to get the effects on the sidebars?

My only question is, what is the reason for having the ability to toggle the sidebar stuff? Right now I don’t see any need for the ability to do that other than just doing it. I’m also wanting to put effects like that in my site, but just haven’t found the need for it.

Re: techinflux

If any users feel the need to remove clutter. Plus it’s plain cool.

And I did use moofx, but I didn’t know there was a plugin.

Re: techinflux

The plugin isn’t much, I think it just stores the js in the DB. That’s about it

Re: techinflux

Had to turn on js for the effect. It’s nicely done but like variaas not really useful.

Is that a 6146 up top? It’s too short for an 807 :-)

Re: techinflux

Not seeing the Moofx effect.. Javascript turned on, Firefox 1.5 mac os X. Also, the tag area has some hover wierdness. The increased size on hover pushes the hovered type right and shifts the type being hovered creating a loop that flickers the type hovered (if that makes sense..).

Yeah,
I’m working on the tags issue (should be easily fixed). As for the moofx effect, it’s available on the sidebar under “toggle links”, even if it doesn’t look like a link.

Thanks for pointing these things out. I strive for perfection (or very close to it)
