Multiple articles on one "article" page?

Hello, I am setting up a website right now for my friend who is starting an independent booking agency.

There’s a “Players” section (artists), a “Shows” section (for upcoming shows) and a “Routes” section, among others.

If you click on “Players,” it takes you to a list of artists: http://www.becomeinvisible.com/playershome

The artist pages are individual articles under the Players section. For instance, http://www.becomeinvisible.com/players/the-poison-dart is an artist article. I like the way that this is set up.

However, I would like to display the shows and routes for each individual artist on the artist’s article page. That is, showing 3 articles on the same article page.

I’ve tried using txp:article_custom tags within the article text, but this obviously doesn’t work. I’d like to avoid making each artist their own section, because I want my friend to be able to add an artist just by adding an article to the “players” section.

I know I’ve probably thoroughly confused everyone, but any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I’m having trouble wrapping my brain around some of the more complex functions of Textpattern. Thanks!
