[plugin] [ORPHAN] bas_flvplayer - Streaming Video
Flash isn’t that bad, i ever thought it is.
You can stream videos with it. Nice feature.
Here is the plugin
See it work at samisdat.org
bas_flvplayer uses Jeroen Wijering´s flvplayer
You will need an flv encoder to transform your videos, because the flvplayer can only play .flv’s
I use the free one from rivavx.com

Thanx for the mp3-player, works like a clock. But this one don´t even show on my site…
Tried with your exampletags in the plugins help…. bas:flvplayer but nothing. Is the tags correct?

Sorry skoggy, its my foul.
It must be bas_flvplayer in plugins help.
Another bug is that width and height are hardcoded.
I will fix it – after work.

Great plugin. thanks a lot
Mine still doens’t work. I get the small black screen. I click on it and it starts loading, but nothing happens after that. The screen is still black. I get the same result when i visit samisdat.org (http://samisdat.org/lab/31/bas-flvplayer-lab). So i don’t understand whether there is something wrong with my installation or with my browser. Although it works fine when i visit Jeroen Wijering’s site (or http://samsdat.org)
ANy comments?

I made it work. It was my mistake. I had to put the Id number of the flv file and not the swf file.

I get only this in my source-code: (bas:flvplayer id=‘2’ /)
In my page I see nothing.
Anyone knows what’s the problem?

you need to type
<code><txp:bas_flvplayer id=‘2’ />
</code>
as mentioned above that is a mistake in the help file

Lee: Its very easy to change the height and widht in the code. At least if you plan to use the same size for every file. Edit the plugin and look for this line in the bottom:
<code>data=”’.$basPlayer.’?file=’.$basVideo.$autostart.’” width=“240” height=“180”>’</code>

Bastian, Once again, this plugin is just beautiful and intelligent and very easy to use. Thank you so much.
p.s. I want to ouput the contents of a custom field within the id attribute. i.e. <code><txp:bas_flvplayer id=”<txp:custom_field name=“Video id”></txp:custom_field>” /></code>. Its not able to parse the custom field tag. How can I solve this?
